22/08/10 – Made
I don’t normally blog about jewellery – not least because it is rare that I buy any as most of the things I really like are beyond my means.
Found this collection by Laura Bailey for a company called Made…Everything on the website is designed by someone high profile and then sourced and crafted in a fair trade [...]

21/08/10 – The Breastvest
I was looking at my wardrobe today and I am suffering from the 80/20 rule. I only wear 20% of my wardrobe but I wear it 80% of the time. There are many things in there that don’t fit me, don’t suit me, and lets face it, will never be worn again.
I still can’t quite [...]

02/08/10 – Creamy Soap
I mentioned this briefly in a previous post and was stoopid enough to throw away the wrapper, so I couldn’t tell you where it had come from. My wonderful latherly, soapiest of soaps is from Lanacombe Lotions. I want to link to them but they don’t have a website, so in true cyber-space stalker fashion [...]

26/07/10 – Home Made make-up
In the absence of being able to afford the Chantecaille website I had a little look around for some recipes to make my own magical skin remedies.
It’s all well and good being able to approve the ingredients in all these highly expensive lotions and potions, but would it kill the manufacturers involved to put their [...]

25/07/10 – Chantecaille
I was posting about mineral sunsceens the other day and have mentioned mineral foundations in the past.
A bit more research on this topic led me to the Chantecaille and Laura Mercier websites.
Apparently the Queen and Grand High Duchess of gorgeousity these are the products that combine both functions (foundation plus SPF) and once tried, will [...]

21/07/10 – Green Make-up
Its a recurring theme and I am not tired of the vivid mental picture that each new title brings….
I was reading the other day that if you are a regular user of all things perfumed and tinted then its possible to absorb up to 1.8kg of chemicals in to the skin each year. Bleurgh. Even worse, a lot of make-ups and [...]

18/07/10 – Being thirty eight
It was my birthday today and for my special birthday outing we went to see Priscilla Queen of the Desert up in big London town.
You would have to have a heart of stone not to love every second of it. Full of wonderful young men dancing in their pants! Hurrah for that!
Go and see it! Go! Seriously. GO!

Sublime and ridiculous all in one go…check out Fashion-Conscience for Vegan, Sustainable, Fair Trade and organic loveliness.
I am currently channelling 70’s mum and wearing wedges, denim and blousy t-shirts. I may crank it up a notch and channel 50’s mum in some sparkly peep-toes and something with a waist.
